Read Me – Blogging Rules
To blog on this space you must obey the following:
Be Polite You're welcome to (heck, encouraged to) be direct and candid with your thoughts about the topic. But remember the golden blogging rule: Attack the idea, not the person. Any comments that attack people personally or use profanity will not end up on the site.
Be Within the Law Your comments must not be potentially libelous, contrary to hate laws, or get me or MEC into other sorts of legal hot water.
Be On Topic Your comment must be on topic and add to the discussion of the posting you're commenting on. So if your comment is off-topic, or you are "commenting" as a sly way of promoting your web site, blog, or company, it won't appear on the site.
Be Timely Please note that the ability to comment on a post automatically expires 21 days after the article is posted (this is mostly to avoid drive-by automated spamming.)
I will endeavour to review your comments within 1 business day. Remember, my job takes me to many time zones and places where connectivity is low. I also have a little toddler which means many sleepless nights. You get the drift.
(I would like acknowledge CBC's official blog http://www.insidethecbc.com and Tod Maffin for generously agreeing to our verbatim copy of their blogging policies. Thank you CBC and Tod!)
