Hi HC,

China Blues recently ran on the public television here. It is hard to watch.

You and Craig are right on when you say walking away is not a solution. Maybe there is no solution.

At the end of the day you can say you gave your hard earned clams to someone you thought deserved them in exchange for something decent, then sleep well.

Trying to do the right thing can feel like pushing a boulder up a hill. Be strong and you will move forward.

Hi Dave,

Thanks for the support

Grant

While I truly do appreciate the fact that MEC actually is up front about having factories that employed children, I still don't understand how outsourcing is ever better than just having domestic factories.

I find the rationales that people give for invading a country economically ("It helps the community eventually", "The people want to work!") to be very arrogant and not all that far off from rationales for invading an other country militarily ("We are spreading democracy", or "They will be throwing roses and dancing in the streets."

If MEC products were all made here in Canada, I would certainly buy them with pride, but for now I shop at MEC only for an occasional this-or-that that I can't find from a local shop.
